Ethical investing, or ESG, has been a buzzword on the edges of the investment industry for decades, but now we’re starting to see people use their savings to back their ethics – with flows into ethical investment strategies starting to rise. But what’s driving this trend, who are the investors backing the strategies and what are their goals? And as more money is drawn into these strategies, how are investment companies responding? Do we all need to be wary of greenwashing and cynical grabs for assets? In this video, Laura Suter explains all.

Laura Suter is Director of Personal Finance at AJ Bell. She is a multi-award winning former financial journalist, having specialised in investments. Laura joined AJ Bell from the Daily Telegraph, where she was investment editor. She has previously worked for adviser publications Money Marketing and Money Management, and has worked for an investment publication in New York. She has a degree in Journalism Studies from University of Sheffield.
