Property funds – the impact on investors

Personal Finance Analyst Laura Suter will take a deep dive into property funds, looking at the current situation of closed funds amidst valuation uncertainty, market volatility and liquidity issues.

As funds remain closed and with no clear plan to change this anytime soon, Laura will look at the key issues fund managers face and consider where property could have a place in an investor’s portfolio. Laura will also reveal some useful statistics on how property funds recovered from their last closure and the impact this has had on investors.

Laura Suter is Director of Personal Finance at AJ Bell. She is a multi-award winning former financial journalist, having specialised in investments. Laura joined AJ Bell from the Daily Telegraph, where she was investment editor. She has previously worked for adviser publications Money Marketing and Money Management, and has worked for an investment publication in New York. She has a degree in Journalism Studies from University of Sheffield.
