Q2 2020 – market, economic and MPS update

Simon Molica – Fund Manager for Active Portfolios, AJ Bell Investments – reviews the performance of the global markets during the second quarter of 2020, another historically volatile quarter following the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As governments and central banks continue to provide all the support they can muster, Simon looks at the unsurprisingly volatile UK retail market and the tightening of gilts as risks remain. He also looks at what this means for Passive, Active and Pactive MPS, before finishing by offering his outlook on the unchartered territory that is the next quarter and beyond.
