Laura joined AJ Bell from the Daily Telegraph, where she was Investment Editor. She has a degree in Journalism Studies from the University of Sheffield.

Emily created Differently Wellbeing to re-educate and demystify, ultimately making Yoga accessible to people of all ages, shapes, abilities and backgrounds. Her teaching philosophy is simple - keep it fun, welcoming and inclusive.

 Whilst financial education has been part of the National Curriculum for secondary schools since 2014, there is widespread concern that students aren’t receiving the adequate level of learning on financial education.  Baroness Helena Morrissey will reveal some startling statistics from teachers and young adults as to the gaps identified between financial education and financial literacy and some interesting consumer personality traits.  With today’s teenager more likely to become tomorrow’s client, learning the basics early is key.  Helena will highlight the a few considerations of how the family adviser can offer support which schools and some parents are struggling to deliver.

Cor Hutton was given just a 5% chance of survival in 2013 after an irritating cough turned into sepsis. Against all odds, she lived – but doctors were forced to amputate her hands and legs in the process.

One year on, she set up Finding Your Feet Amputee Charity to support and connect with people on their limb loss journeys. What began as a handful of people meeting for a coffee has turned into Scotland’s leading source of charitable support for the amputee community, holding over 80 activities per month and providing vital emotional support to countless individuals and their families.

Cor has carried the Commonwealth Games baton, received the Freedom of Renfrewshire, been given the Points of Light award by Prime Minister David Cameron, is regularly included in Inspirational Women of the Year lists, and has been awarded three honorary doctorates – making her Doctor Doctor Doctor Cor. She was the first female amputee to summit Ben Nevis, completed the London Triathlon in 2017 and became the first female quadruple amputee to climb Kilimanjaro in 2018. In early
 

2019, Cor became the first Scot to receive a double hand transplant and to top all that off, in 2023, she was awarded an MBE.

With a clear goal of improving perceptions and conditions for disabled people, changing the boundaries and removing the stigma of being ‘different’, and raising money to support others, Cor has spoken at events across the UK, been covered by news outlets worldwide and appeared on national TV including The One Show and Good Morning Britain.
