Richard Colwell manages the Threadneedle UK Growth & Income Fund, Threadneedle UK Equity Income Fund and the Threadneedle UK Equity Alpha Income Fund. He also co-manages the Threadneedle Monthly Extra Income Fund and has research responsibility across all sectors.

Before joining the company, Richard ran high alpha UK equity portfolios at Aviva Investors. He has also held portfolio management roles at Credit Suisse and Schroders and worked at the Bank of England.

Richard has a degree in Banking, Insurance & Finance from the University of Bangor. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Speaker Bio

Sajiv Vaid joined Fidelity in 2015 and is a portfolio manager on the MoneyBuilder Income, Extra Income and Short Dated Corporate Bond Funds. He is a key member of Fidelity’s Sterling Investment Grade strategy team. After graduation, Sajiv joined Gerrard Group (1994-1997) as a trainee bond fund manager, joining Fuji Investments as a fully fledged bond fund manager in 1997, where he managed global fixed income portfolios. In 2001, he joined Royal London Asset Management where he managed their flagship retail and institutional corporate funds. Sajiv graduated from the University of Hull in 1991 in Economic & Social History and holds an MA in Modern International Studies from University of Leeds.

Prior to joining Invesco, Paul worked at Hermes Investment Management where he was a portfolio manager for over £9bn UK and global inflation linked bonds. He started his career at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where his main responsibility was managing the global rates portfolios. He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Genetics from the University of Nottingham and has been a CFA charterholder since 2004.

Prior to this, he was a fund manager at Schroders Investment Management before which he spent more than a decade at Baring Asset Management. As Head of Sustainable and Impact Investing, Ben Constable Maxwell is leading M&G’s strategy on impact investing as well as covering sustainability issues such as climate change and circular economy. He has been central to the development of ESG integration within M&G’s investment processes and has supported the development of ESG solutions for clients across asset classes. Ben plays an active industry role as a member of various sustainable and impact investment initiatives, interacting with companies, policymakers, NGOs and other investors. He is a Trustee at Firefly International youth organisation, which provides educational and mental health support for young people in conflict-affected areas in the Balkans and Middle East. Previous to joining M&G in 2003, Ben spent four years with the Equities team at Invesco Perpetual. Ben has an honours degree in Classics from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

He graduated from Bristol University in 1994 and spent a year at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Following this he joined Newton Investment Management. Russ Mould’s long experience of the capital markets began in 1991 when he became a Fund Manager at a leading provider of life insurance, pensions and asset management services. In 1993 he joined a prestigious investment bank, working as an Equity Analyst covering the technology sector for 12 years. Russ eventually joined Shares magazine in November 2005 as Technology Correspondent and became Editor of the magazine in July 2008. Following the acquisition of Shares' parent company, MSM Media, by AJ Bell Group, he was appointed as AJ Bell’s Investment Director in summer 2013.

Andy co-founded AJ Bell in 1995, having spent a number of years working within the financial services sector. Graduating from Nottingham University in 1987 with a first class degree in Mathematics, he qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1993 and has built AJ Bell into one of the UK’s largest investment platforms.
